No. The wait usually isn’t too crazy and definitely worth it!!
I believe its coffee only.
It does. But you could sit n eat too. 😀
This is a restaurant and I don't believe they will be open Christmas eve
I've been to Honeys at both locations now and I was pleased with the service and food. I had a great conversation with my server while trying to figure out the theme of the restaurant. Its Jewish meets southern. A combination that I've never had in my life but made since. Being from the south I have high expectations for certain foods and I will say they hit the nail on the head with this one.
The food is solid. I especially enjoyed the texture on the hot chicken sandwich although I did feel that it was more sweet than spicy. You may have to park a few blocks further down in order to get a spot. Service was decent as well.
Without a doubt, one of my favorite places to eat in Philly! Piping hot grits, and gravy. The steak was fried to perfection but a little too sweet for my blood though. Might want to keep that in mind with this particular dish. Anyway, great food, great crowd, and a great place to just relax with an old friend.
At Honey's it's always a lazy Sunday morning breakfast and there I had the privilege of finding myself again, on a Sunday morning. It's always the best damn eggs, grits, and coffee I could ask for from a long weekend. They offer definitive takes and innovation on the comforts of breakfast in an elbow room only setting that is worth the wait. I have never been disappointed. Close your eyes and pick something at random on the menu... but get a coffee too. A word for the wise patron though: A popular or busy place is often a double edged sword for me. There's a reason a place becomes popular, but an hour line out the door can spoil the fun you want to have, even while you try and enjoy every second you have at your seat before giving it up to the next disgruntled patron. That anxiousness changes the mood of a place. So be thankful, be courteous, and be considerate on your way in and out. Get in, enjoy, and get out. And tip well.
I loved the service, interior very industrial. Good menu selections. Food was way better than some of the surrounding eateries I can name two off the bat but I digress....oh coffee my bueno! Side note this is a cash only restaurant so plan ahead and have a good time.
Such a good stop. We had all specials and they where amazing... heirloom tomato omelette, out of this world BLT and a Bacon Steak. BLT simple execution with fantastic ingredients = out of the world. The Bacon Steak what an idea. Maple Cayenne. Thick. = OMG good.
We heard of the large crowds, so we got up early to get a seat. The food was delicious...if you are in Philly, this is a must stop!
This place is amazing. Super comfy, fresh, well-made breakfast/brunch fare. No alcohol though, and it's cash-only. Neither are a big deal given how good the food is! Just be prepared for a hefty wait during prime hours (weekends). They have a super cheap breakfast menu during 7-9 weekdays too! I love this place.
This place gets its stars from being so consistent. You can never go wrong at the sit'n eat. Highlights for me any type of potatoes and the specials are always SPECIAL and super creative. Always something for everyone on the this menu.
Honeys is my favorite brunch spot! Food is always delicious and the service is great. The portion sizes are perfect and it has a wonderful atmosphere.
One of the places saved for "Want to go". Definitely was not let down. One day I was driving from a meeting nearby and saw this place, people coming in and out and seemed like a nice place to go so I saved to my lists. It's in the middle of residential area, seemingly hidden away. A perfect place for breakfast, coffee is on point. Definitely for couple or family eatery.
1.3.20: if i could rate higher than five stars, i would!!!!!! I wish i would have caught the name of the person with short dark hair, thin, & nice doc martens ;) -- they greeted us upon arrival with such an inviting, welcoming demeanor and their service in helping me decide what to eat was such a nice touch on customer service. Aaand the fooood was slobbering delicious (no joke!) & served at the right temperature! My coffee cup was bottomless and i was off with a to-go cup in hand. We arrived during brunch hours and as lunch hours approached, it was getting crowded (a good sign on their popularity). Highly recommend!!! A+++, 110%!!
Best brunch food in the area! A lot of options (including GF and vegetarian) and they all looked good. The staff is very friendly and attentive. A little busy with a 15 minute wait when we went but it was worth it. Would definitely recommend!
Great, classic breakfast and brunch place. Nothing fancy but always really good. I love the standard breakfast with eggs and potatoes and occasionally splurge for the country fried steak. Never disappointed and always full. Cash only but inexpensive.
Very cute and humble brunch spot in Northern Liberties- although I do prefer the more open, spacious atmosphere on South Street. The chef prepares the dishes slightly different at each location, and I have to say, I enjoy the food at this location better! Very attentive staff too 😊
Good food and kind staff. Specials are always different and there's something for everyone.
Probably one of the best pancake places around, even for only a moderate pancake fan like myself. Service is good, but the places popularity works against itself so expect to wait 15 to 30 minutes on a busy weekend for larger parties. Potatoes are also excellent.
Fantastic food, and great service. Julian was a sweetheart, and everything was absolutely delicious. I got the country fried steak, and it was huge! Whenever I'm in Philly again, I'll definitely visit this place again. The only thing I was bummed about was not having any room for their deep fried banana split. It is cash only, and seating is limited, so get here, and enjoy yourself!
Approximately 30 minute wait on a Sunday morning but the food was worth it. I ordered the eggs Benedict. It was really good, the French toast was amazing. My girl ordered the bomb, choice of meat wrapped in a pancake, she didn't like the sweet and salty combination.
they don’t take your number when there’s a wait, you have to be in the area. try to order from the seasonal menu, they’re always FULL of flavor. i always recommend the honey cristo (sub veggie sausage) & ask for maple syrup with that order.
great staff and great menu options. We went here because Michael B. Jordan told us to.
I didn't discover how great this place is until the pandemic started- now they're my brunch go to! The fried chicken chipotle benedict is SO good!
Very chill spot, no frills. Service was on point, quick, and friendly. Eggs and pancakes were good. The home fries had too many flavors / spices for our liking. We all enjoyed our meals. Worth a visit if in the area.
The chicken tacos were good. The fries were amazing and bubby'd brisket sandwich was outstanding.
First time visiting this establishment but they left a remarkable taste in my mouth, from the food, the experience, and the overall service. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu selection and was very prompt. It’s a cash only establishment (not really a inconvenience) so be sure to have some on hand, there’s also a ATM on site.
I love Honeys and am so happy they opened a location on South that’s just a few blocks away! Their latkes are one of my favorite in the city and they don’t mess around with their French toast, it’s amazing! Did I mention fresh squeezed oj? Don’t worry the wait is totally worth it
The wait wasn't too bad and the food was pretty good. I give it 4 stars though bc for all the hype it didn't exactly blow my mind. I now can say I ate there but probably won't do so again since there are tons of other brunch places in philadelphia to try out.
Their food is amazing! We also tried their fresh squeezed juice, orange and grapefruit. Would go again in a heart beat
This is my first time here. I met a friend here for breakfast. The food is good, the waitstaff is accommodating and friendly. Very small inside and parking is extremely limited in the area.Menu is pretty straightforward for breakfast, nice variety for lunch/dinner.
The service was great. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our server was attentive and enthusiastic. His description of the items on the menu is what led me to order something that I was hesitant to try, and for that I am thankful. The Honey Cristo is AMAZING!!! We ended our meal with the fried banana split. Leave your diet at the door and enjoy!
I don't even look at the menu here anymore. It's that good Jeb's all day. The staff is great, super friendly. Good coffee with free refills, and good music. The only negative is that sometimes the wait is a bit on the longer side, as seating is limited, but in that case just pop over to City Planter and say hi to the birds.
This is my absolute favorite brunch place in the Northern Liberties area! The Fried Chicken Chipotle Benedict is to die for, I have never tasted a breakfast meal so yummy! And I’ve eaten out quite a bit, so that says a lot. My husband had the Breakfast Bomb and ate everything on his plate, it was also very delicious. Service is always wonderful. Will be back many times for sure.
Good vegetarian and vegan options for brunch. The tofu scramble, unlike most places, they don't rely on Curry for flavor. I suggest adding peppers. The home fries are excellent, ordered without onions. The atmosphere is comfortable casual and the servers are comfortable and attentive. Vegans be sure to request unbuttered toast.
A Philadelphia standard, so it gets really busy during peak hours. I recommend going early morning (7 am) or closer to closing (although that's more of a gamble), or heading there alone to grab a seat at the counter. Definitely check out their specials, they're usually amazing. Also their blueberry jam is one of my favorite things ever.
Excellent food at a great price! Just make sure and bring cash because they don’t accept credit or debit. This brisket breakfast was great and tender and I loved the potatoes!
Had a great experience! Food was amazing. And service was fast! For sure will recommend and come back again.
Decent service good food nice atmosphere
Awesomeness on a plate! This Jewish style eatery will leave you bursting at the seams. Great food and portions that will certainly leave you satisfied, make sure you get a latke! Oh, and bring cash and expect to wait there's no phone ahead reservations and they don't accept credit/debit cards. Best time to visit is during the week around 10am. Otherwise this is one of Philly's best brunch spots, so plan accordingly.
Spicy fries chicken sandwich was poppin!
It's a small space and was so busy that patrons were waiting outside. Nonethless, the food was great and the staff was friendly. But it was all worth it!
You just can't beat this place for breakfast. The quality of the food is really great and the portions are huge. All of the house made items, like jars of delicious house baked cookies on the counter, make you want to sit 'n eat all day. The service is fast and friendly and they brew up a nice cup 'o joe!
Food was good with great customer service just hard to find parking at this location
This is my go to breakfast place. I love their eggs Benedict with a side of latke. I've also tried their pancakes which were delicious and fluffy. The place is cash only and can get quite busy in the morning but their service is great and food comes out quickly. Expect a long wait for brunch but if you come early enough, you're bound to get seated within minutes.
Awesome Breakfast!!! Breakfast is my favorite meal and this one of the best places I have been to. My omelette was perfect. Their potatoes with Old Bay seasoning were great and that homemade bisquit was superb...I would highly recommend Honey's.
Was walking around Northern Liberties looking for a good lunch place and a local told us honey's was the best breakfast/lunch joint in the city. We were not disappointed!. Delicious meal and very fairly priced. Will be happy to go again
Awesome. Went on a Sunday morning and there was a long wait. Easier if you come with less people; we were told 25 minutes and got a seat at the bar in 10 with two people. Had the special omelet before it sold out and the hot chocolate. Best hot chocolate I've ever had. Check this place out! Cash only and decent prices.
Service was great. The food was even better. I had the "bomb" a huge pancake stuffed with eggs an sausage and it came with a small side of grits. FREAKIN AWESOME! I plan to return and try other items on the menu. My mom had the eggs potatos and toast. (Also delicious i had to taste) next time I'll put the espresso machine to work 😋😋😋 but the regular coffee they keep your cup full of is pretty good too.
Love the early bird option for two eggs, coffee and toast for $6! Gets packed, but totally worth it. Had such a fun time catching up with my friend here during the week.
Good solid food, generous portions, fast, friendly service. I went thanks to a friend's recommendation and she was right! bit of a divey hole in the wall in a quickly gentrifying area, but I doubt they're going away anytime soon. Definitely a locals' spot. Going in a Thursday morning it was packed with regulars. The waitress knew everyone's name it seemed. The only reason it's 4 instead of five is that it was so dark I could barely read the menu!
Really really great, everything was the bomb! Absolutely loved it! Definitely going back 👍👍
